Served for many years as our Secretary but has been our Chairman since the 2010 AGM. David also sits on the Board of Llais y Goedwig, the umbrella body for community woodlands across Wales, formed in November 2009 - of which BBCW is a member. |

Roger Stevenson Company Secretary |
Recently retired from teaching at Woodland Junior School. He has lived in
Upper Cwmbran since 1990. He owns and occasionally breeds Cardigan corgis
which he likes to walk in the forest. He is also involved in a number of
other local community projects such as the Ancient Cwmbran and Cistercians Project and the Twmbarlwm Society. First became interested in the forest when a tree fell on him in 1992. Roger was our Chairman from the start until the 2010 AGM. Weird sense of humour. |

John Williams | Very much a "hands-on" director John contributes to the smooth running of the woodland in too many ways to mention them all here. |

Chris Harris | Born in Pontrhydyrun. Mechanical Engineer turned to woodworking and now makes bespoke kitchens. Has lived in Upper Cwmbran since about 1972. He is now landlord of The Bush Inn, Graig Road, Upper Cwmbran, which he bought with his brother in April 2009. |

Dave Higgingson | Dave is an engineer by profession, vocation and religion. As well as being one of our most active volunteers he is also our main man when it comes to tools and machinery. He is an invaluable addition to the Directors of the woodland. |

David Parsons | Last and probably most important. David is our forestry expert. He has guided us and helped us in so many ways in setting up and maintaining the woodland. Without his guidance, expertise and contacts this woodland would be nowhere near as well established as it is. The idea of the arboretum of native British trees was his, and he was responsible for the layout and much of the planting. CV |
